Heavy Metal and Hard Rock are more than just genre descriptors to me; these communities have been a huge part of my life ever since I was a toddler and my parents taught me to head-bang.

My name is Leja Siv Harju, and it’s my mission to procure the finest of dark delicacies for your eardrums!

I started HAILSWEBZINE back in my college days in 2008 as a humble MySpace page that featured songs from up-and-coming as well as established bands! In 2011, it evolved to a .com website, featuring concert reviews, photography and exclusive interviews.

Without going too far down the proverbial rabbit hole, I unofficially “gave up” on HAILSWEBZINE in late 2012 following some personal challenges. Things took me in a different direction and away from writing and music for a little over a decade – I worked in healthcare, and for the most part, I… did not love it. Heh…

Meanwhile, some rando in Germany bought “HailsWebzine.com” for a few years and wanted several hundred $mackers to get it back, which I just didn’t care to muster up for quite a time. I don’t much like grifters.

I never gave up on Metal, just on my favorite hobbies, for a time.

But that time has passed.

So many new and great things have happened in the scene since, and I was inspired to get back “out there” with my posts and interviews.

I don’t do what I do for money or any kind of recognition – I consider HAILSWEBZINE to be my favorite pet project, and this is merely a pursuit of the passion for art, and my curiosity about the minds who create it for us.
